i like the plot premise, the vibes, music, and the characters -- I really do. however, I'm just left a little disappointed about how little to no knowledge you get from the story building and the endings. it was so confusing, I had to replay twice to figure out if there was an actual second ending or not because I was left puzzled :((

early on in the game, it's almost led the players to believe that there might be something wrong with the drinks. however down the line, it just seems like that idea might be flushed down the toilet because June drank some the drink + we never got to really see Ryan drinking any and even say it himself he rather just drink his own beer he got from home
because of this, why was it that June seems unaffected yet Ryan, like the others, was ready to just drowns like that? wasn't it established that Ryan doesn't bother drinking from the resort as it was "too expensive" and it's much cheaper to bring your own drink from home?? June herself doesn't even seem barely affected at all despite taking some drinks along with Vonnie which makes it more confusing with where the game is leading towards.
this is a game jam, but sometimes it would be nice if there was more clarification of the story as to who is "she", is it the drink that possibly creating a lot of weirdness, why June seems to be immune to it (or probably hysterical herself and drowned by herself), and if the resort themselves purposely giving tourists these drinks to drown themselves or something. there's too many questions that doesn't seem to have enough supporting factors to help build a proper open-ended answer to all of these plot points. the ending itself seems unsatisfactory too like sure there is this one part where June can try to pull Ryan up or still hold on, we understand that she probably have some abandoment/being alone issue but I wish there was more options leading up to that point and if it was even possible to understand why Ryan seems to be leaving her behind.
this was a fun game! i honestly really liked how the main horror was left open ended in favor of saying something with the effects of the horror! the scariest stuff is the stuff left ambiguous to me, so this was a great treat. nice job!!
i hope we get some sorta part 2 because im so confused T-T. at first i thought it was the drinks but June ALSO drank some?? great game as usual! but pls make a part 2 explaining more of the lore im begging rn
Nice and short, but also very disturbing! Though there isn't much gameplay, the mystery of the story is very captivating. Of course, the music and art are wonderful as always.
To be honest, for me this game is the strangest of all. the plot is vague. Why has everyone gone crazy??? Who is "She"??! is the ending weird and people have "that's it" thoughts?? I didn't get the right emotions, the game disappointed me. what I liked was the permonages, the music, the mechanics with the map and the fact that you can walk on the map. I also liked the friendly relationship of the characters with each other They're funny. But honestly, the game was disappointing. :(
I LAUV THIS SO MUCHHH I forgot to comment but I played this the second I got the announcement in the server. Though this will not be one of my fav games, I still enjoyed the experience and stuff. I love the characters, the metaphors/symbolism, the mystery, how after I first chose to follow them in the sea, my mind just went "WHAT THE HELL" and had so many more questions. Reading the discussion chat helped me understand it more, lmao. Thank you for another beautiful game <33

I really wanted to enjoy this more, but I genuinely couldn’t. I believe it’s great for a game jam, but both endings are just…that?
I’m not going to explain everything I dislike for spoiler reasons, of course, and I always love the games SIG puts together, I’ve played every game currently released multiple times, but there’s SO much left of this game that could’ve been explained that wasn’t. It was very vague, TOO vague for a game standpoint. Morally? Yes, I understand the idea. But for a game? It doesn’t explain a majority of so many unseen points that it leaves you unfulfilled and wanting more, so much to the point that it’s just unsatisfying. I don’t see how people are saying they cried over the endings, when there’s nothing to cry over.
Aside from the story, I believe the art is gorgeous as always, and the music is as amazing as it always as. I just wish so much more was able to be explained, and I believe if it wasn’t made just for a game jam, it could’ve done just that.
NOW MAYBE I’m just not getting the memo, and if someone provides me another view later on, that would be amazing, I’m just very upset that it didn’t turn out to be as much of a banger compared to past games :(
I feel the same as you when it comes to how vague the the story is. I would have really liked more of a solid explanation on certain reasons for their behavior, it was a big mystery that I would have liked to solve during the game. Had that been explained or expanded upon a little, I would have accepted the endings a little more than I did. I did really enjoy the art and music too, the different representation for body types were also nice to see! But getting to the endings was just a little disappointing and left me feeling lackluster.
Now I completely agree with this. When I watched my friend stream this for me, both of us really didn’t give us much. If anything, we had to theorize majority of these things, which.. isn’t that much of a problem, but it was a painful “what is this?” Thing we both had until the end of it when we were scrolling through this page where we just had an “oh that’s what it is” moment. (It was that confusing)
And the crying thing as well, we (or at least I) couldn’t just feel emotional over this game. Yeah, there was a couple of shocks and whatnot, but crying was not one of them. Compared to the rest of these games, this isn’t much of a replay-able one, if you can like.. see what I’m trying to say.

WOW YOU GUYS PUMPED THIS OUT SO FAST!! Good job, crazy good how all the cgs are just so good and there is so many you're cracked! Great music too btw as always! Not gonna lie I nearly broke down after those endings but I thought about it and it worked rly well! Great buildup and mystery too! ALSO TY SO MUCH FOR JUNE, I LOVE HER DESIGN!!! (in as not weird way as possible I just like to see different types of people in games!) Anyways thanks for making another banger free game and good luck on your next project!
