very fun game !! The art style and music really sell it for me and I love the different shades of all the different characters, especially Manon. I loved getting to know them all.
The work sequences were very fun with just the right amount of difficulty! I loved how unique each customer, and day, felt.
I had alot of fun Playing Dead Plate. The game play and panicking that people were going to leave seemed too real for me. I really loved the story, art style and dialog. (Team Vince hehe)

I play a variety of games, so I have good gameplay skills. It was certainly a difficult game to operate, but after collecting the endings, I became good enough to complete the game on the last day.
I think buying items will lower the difficulty a little and make it easier to clear.
(I'm reporting a bug that occurred once when I failed the game on the 6th day and progressed without starting over.)

the controls r so confusing i cant press the marker between the door and window, im stuck on the tutorial. but even if i did press it and the food is like on the window i cant serve itt :(
i guess you shoulp press up arrow and z at the same time. Sometimes game wants you to use controls like that. Same for putting down the plates for serving. I pressed down arrow and z simultaneously. Still controls are pretty hard and tiring tho. I hope those help ovo

I really love the graphics of the game!!! i heard the storyline is really good and I don't doubt it, and I love the overall aesthetic, but the game's controls are a little finicky. I didn't realize you had to click arrow keys at the same time as z to interact and that makes it really tricky during the levels. Also, the notification boxes are a bit distracting. I really want to play it, but I can't even get past the second day TT THe customer wait time seems a bit fast? especially when I've failed the shift and it hasn't even been halfway in according to the little timer. I think I'll come back to it eventually, but I don't think I can play it right now because it stresses me out a bit too much TT I will say it does get the stress of working in a restaurant right!!
Overall, the game is really cute, and if anything I'll watch the story through other playthroughs if I can't progress on my own. I love the art and music, and the sound effects also add a lot!!

The controls are incredibly hard to work. This was the first game I got on my pc but the move and click actions that need to be precise make it finicky and unable to do much if any gameplay.
Along with that, the waiting times the customers have seems much too short, especially when the controls aren't working for the computer.
overall this is a very fun game though and there's so much work that has been put into the game I just hope there might be a controls update soon!!

I decided to look around the files for fun since they were already unzipped, and there is a file called icon in a folder called icon but you have to convert it to an .ico file to set it as the game's icon
FREE TUTORIAL FOR SETTING THE GAME'S ICON! (no idea if this is even necessary on mac this is purely windows. it might not properly match up with some computers ui's so sorry in advance i am just a guy on the internet. i'm running windows 11 so you might need to take different steps than me. sorry for that i am a windows 7 girlie through and through my laptop is just new. exceedingly thorough for no good reason but the autism)
1. Make sure that you have a shortcut to the game, since that's what we're setting the icon of! (read substeps to make a shortcut)
1a. Go to your file explorer and select downloads
1b. Open the folder named 'Dead Plate (19)' (make sure you select the unzipped one!)
1c. Right click on the file named 'Game' (NOT 'Game.exe')
1d. Select 'Create Shortcut' (if you can't see this initially select 'Show More Options' first!)
1e. Move the shortcut to your desktop (hold left-click on it and move it to the desktop section)
1f. To change the shortcut's name go to your desktop (see step six) or select the desktop section in your file explorer; find the shortcut, right-click it, select 'Rename', and input the name you want for it followed by the enter key; if you followed step six you might be able to double-click on the name to change it, and if you're in file explorer it might be bound to F2 (make sure you've clicked on the shortcut before pressing F2)
2. Find a website that will convert .png to .ico files (i used this because it was the first option i found)
3. Set the size to 128 x 128 pixels, since this is the original file's size
4. Choose your file
4a. When it opens your file explorer select downloads
4b. Open the folder named 'Dead Plate (19)' (make sure you select the unzipped one!)
4c. Open the folder named 'www'
4d. Open the folder named 'icon'
4e. Select the icon, it should be the only file in the folder
5. Download the converted file
5a. You don't need to put this with the game files in order to set it as the games icon!
6. Go to your desktop (minimize windows so it's visible)
7. Right-click on the shortcut
8. Select 'Properties'
9. There should be an option that says 'Change Icon', choose this
10. Click on the file directory at the top of the icon selection and set it to wherever you stored the .ico file
11. Select the correct file from the list (if there is one)
On the table in your apartment there should be something that looks like a magazine next to the phone, if you interact with it you'll be able to buy items.

I can't get past the tutorial screen, without the game crashing :( Im playing on a MacBook. But I really wanted to play which is disappointing.
The controls are very difficult, they are not very responsive or the trigger areas are so small.

Hit the "up" directional button and then hit the "z" key (or while you're hitting the "z" key). That's what worked for me!
I found that using the spacebar worked a lot better!
