As someone who really likes restaurant tycoon games and hot men, this was right up my alley and it did not disappoint! Elevator Hitch and Cold Front has been on my to-play list for a while, but I'm definitely playing them now.
Though I did have trouble with certain things, like how you can only inspect a table from a specific angle. And the mouse is so barely used, it should've not been used at all imo. Still great tho!
i really liked the lore, game in the restaurant and the visual side too! it was so stressful from time to time, but i actually enjoyed it, thanks to the authors for doing such a thing.
An enjoyable horror experience that nicely builds up the mystery and suspense of the story. I have a full playthrough if anyone's interested:
The CG art and writing are great as always, and no doubt it works well when it's a visual novel/adventure game. I like the chemistry between the main characters and how the climax is revealed.
However, the Diner Dash-influenced gameplay sections are definitely rough. I feel as if the limitations of RPGmaker forced some strange game design choices. For example, the player isn't able to stack multiple orders of the same type, so you end up losing precious time waiting for meals one at a time which makes the later days more difficult than necessary.
Overall, it's not a deal-breaker, I still had a good time!

After blood sweat and tears I finally finished the game, when i saw there was a day 7 I was about to quit no joke, I don't understand why day 6 was so hard.
i keep experiencing a glitch where the audio and actions continue but the video aspect is completely frozen, ie during dialogue parts when clicking z i hear the talking sound but everything else is frozen help! i am on windows 11
This was such a ride. I've been dying to get the phone call for days, I'm so glad I was stubborn enough to keep playing even when my sister got annoyed enough and got fussy, lmao. Love the art style so much.
I love the game but legit it is not letting me save, whenever I save and come back it's gone and the only option is to restart. The save files are all empty despite me using like 10 lmao

Hello ! I played the game and i absolutely loved it and i saw that there isn't any french translations... I'm french and my english isn't perfect but it isn't bad either, and if you wanted help to translate the game, i'm available (for free of course) ! This game is absolutely fire, and i know a french youtuber who would love to play it, but he does'nt speak english very great, but if there was a french translation, maybe he could see it ! I would be so happy to show him how good this game is !
I liked Dead Plate. This is the first game I've encountered with food, love, and cannibalism — all of which I immensely take joy in seeing in media. Although slightly frustrating at times, I also enjoyed playing Rody in the game. More than a means of interaction, I think it adds more depth to its main character that way. You have Rody who is working as a waiter in a bistro with no other people to help him out, and he is doing all this work for a grumpy boss (sorry Vince, I do love you) and his beautiful and thoughtful ex-girlfriend, Manon (please get with me).
I also enjoyed analyzing the bits of information we would get along the way and keeping them in my head. They are so interesting and precious to me. Well, in general, Dead Plate is just that to me given that it is the first game I have completed all the way through.
If there was anything else I would like from it, probably be an extension. I would have liked to learn more about Vincent, Rody, and (especially) Manon, but then again that would just be a nice addition. Overall, Dead Plate is an unforgettable and quite an intimate experience for me.
all right, I figured it out. It turns out it's my fault lmao. You have to tap the direction of what you're trying to take and tap Z at the same time. They work perfectly fine and I'm having a great time!
